Our organisation
will act as a catalyst wherever it can to bring providers of training
and the unemployed together. We wish to create enterprise awareness
and promote skills development. Malamulela regards an important
purpose of training for the unemployed to be the development of
an ethos of self-reliance by creating a culture of entrepreneurship.
Our organisation invites NGOs, trade unions, government agencies
and business organisations to provide workshops and skills training
to empower our members.
Malamulela
believes that it is important that the unemployed and the youth
should have some understanding of what entrepreneurship is and
what role the entrepreneur plays in society. Our organisation
therefore plans, with the help of experts, to develop a simple
course to explain this concept to our members and the youth who
are potential future business people and employees. Malamulela
is of the view that if people understand that entrepreneurs are
not merely business people but individuals that change the way
society functions, they will have a more positive attitude regarding
their future work and role in society. We are convinced that if
people are positive about the future and the opportunities they
can create for themselves, the level of unemployment in South
Africa will decline rapidly.
We believe
that one of our major tasks is to change the negative mindset
of the unemployed and the youth. They are disillusioned and feel
hopeless. Through the course we are developing, which we will
present ourselves, and more detailed programmes on entrepreneurship
that may be offered to us, we intend to give participants hope.
We will encourage them to leave no stone unturned in finding a
job and let no opportunities for self-employment escape them.
