Upon
our initial investigations in America, whilst perusing
the market for a suitable vehicle for the upcoming Championship,
we found the pricing unsuitable and the delivery time
far too long for our needs.
After
extensive market and development research, the idea
was born to build a car as a "bat out of hell"
and since then, BAT has become our inspiration and motivation.

We purchased
all the necessary components and returned home where we set
out the criteria for the car and approached South Africa’s
top designer and fabricator with whom we worked together for
1 year before the prototype was completed. Due to the use
of tubular piping, the entire chassis is handmade therefore
ensuring complete attention to all intricate components.
Since
the prototype was launched, we have completed an additional
2 cars with 7 more currently in production for the local market.
The production was focused on orders from Dubai and other
countries when the cars became visible on the local circuit.
The design
concept of this car is based on power to weight ratio ie:
The easiest way to gain Horse Power is by reducing the weight
of the car. The car is also designed around South African
conditions which require a light and nimble car as opposed
to the American way of thinking with big heavy cars and Mega
Horse Power. The BAT is by far the quickest racing car in
the Special Vehicle Class A category.
It’s
weight, aerodynamics and suspension design make the BAT unique.
BAT uses
the latest technology in all aspects from the electronics
to the extensive use of Carbon Composite materials. We also
pride ourselves in using the very best equipment on these
vehicles.
BAT will
have 10 vehicles competing in the 2003 South African National
Offroad Championship and are also targeting the American,
Austalian and Dubai Markets for recreational and race vehicles.
BAT is
the biggest single manufacturer in the country.
